Meet your planner

Hi, I’m Julie

As an event planner, I bring a unique and fascinating background to my creative projects. Excelling in the academic arena (graduated Summa Cum Laude in Creative Advertising, University of Kentucky) I gained acceptance into the Disney College Program. Interacting with guests from around the world, I worked at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

Inspired by the positivity of my experience in Orlando, I continued to bring magic overseas in Shanghai, China while teaching at Disney English. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach in Shanghai where I was awarded 2nd Place in the National Top 10 Best Performance Prize for Foreign Teacher out of 26 Disney English Centers.

My passion for event planning started young with planning themed birthday celebrations and continuing at the Lexington Country Club as the Event Coordinator in planning children’s events, weddings, golf tournaments, and holiday events. Family Fun and Learning Nights and Carnegie Classics at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning sparked my interest in community outreach events.

Returning to my Southern roots, Events by Julie, LLC was launched on April 30th, 2019. Over the years, I’ve planned community events as large as 4,000 guests to intimate weddings as small as 40 guests. My business has traveled to explore areas all over Kentucky with weddings and car events. I have travled out of the state to plan special events in Round Rock, Texas and out of the country to plan an international wedding in Mykonos, Greece. I love to bring people together to showcase their talents to create magical experiences.

I bring a calming presence and devoted conscientiousness to all my events and clients. I believe in the power of gathering as a community, the spiritual sacredness of the union of marriage, and honoring traditions. Gratitude is my foundation of success and I’m thankful to do what I love every day.

Drawing on my Disney experiences and vast travel to distant lands, I hold a vision for creating Magic – one community event, one wedding, and one special event at a time.

WHAT SETS ME APART

  • JOY

I believe in staying in the present moment. Each step in the event planning process can be met with stress or ease. I believe this is a choice. So I am here to always remind you to choose JOY β€” the joy of being in the creative process of planning a celebration and being wholeheartedly in the present celebrating it!

  • INTEGRITY

My grandfather Chuck taught me to be true to my word. I am intentional with my commitments and I prioritize following through and collaborating with vendors who share this value.

  • SERVICE

I believe in giving back to the community and nourishing the community with events that are welcoming, beautiful and inspire creativity and connection.

A Little More About Me

I’m a fan of sweet tea and pink tulips. I believe in jean jackets and celebrating traditions. I delight in envisioning and actualizing events into exquisite reality.

Meet your planner

Hi, I’m Audrey

With a passion for bringing people together and creating unforgettable moments, I have honed my event planning skills through a series of successful events since a young age.

My journey began in high school with planning school-related club events, birthday parties, and graduation celebrations for friends and family. It was during this time that I participated in an internship with the Lexington Event Company, where I assisted in the planning process of various community events and weddings.

While at Centre College my appreciation for event planning grew within the dynamic environment of my sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, where I further learned the art of meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of various events. The various leadership positions I held as a member of this organization allowed me to take the reins on planning and overseeing recruitment related events, philanthropic events, formal galas, and sisterhood events/retreats. This deepened my appreciation for meticulous attention to detail and creating a memorable, cohesive experience for everyone involved.

I enjoy the thrill of turning a vision into reality, and the challenge of orchestrating all the moving parts to create a harmonious symphony of experiences. I strive to create an atmosphere that captivates and delights in order to capture those moments that people will remember and cherish, the ones that spark joy and bring people together!

It is only fitting that I was first introduced to Julie at a beautiful local wedding, and I am extremely grateful to be able to bring my passion, excitement, and dedication for event planning to Events by Julie, LLC!

Meet your planner

Hi, I’m Emma

I’m a senior at Eastern Kentucky University majoring in Event Planning, with a passion for creating meaningful experiences and bringing people’s visions to life. I’m originally from New Jersey (Go Birds! πŸ¦…), and my love for events and serving others started at a young age while working alongside my mom.

I’ve had the opportunity to plan and host college events, volunteer in my community, and create experiences like I Love Coffee. What I love most about events is building genuine relationships with people and helping bring their dreams to life. There’s something so special about being part of the moments people will remember forever!

My faith is a huge part of who I am. Being able to support couples not only through the planning process but also through such an important season of their lives is something I’m incredibly grateful to get to be apart of.

A few fun facts about me: I absolutely love the beach and Disney! My favorite Disney princess is Rapunzel. I watched Tangled when I was five, saw Rapunzel’s wedding, and immediately knew I wanted to be part of that world someday!

When I’m not working with Julie, you can usually find me at my on-campus job as a pool manager. I was honored to receive the Campus Excellence Award, the department’s highest award, which was such a special accomplishment for me.

I’m so excited to continue growing in the event and wedding industry, creating beautiful moments, and making sure every couple feels loved, supported, and celebrated throughout their journey!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

β€œLove is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
